This workshop is offered thanks to the collaboration of the City of Montreal.
This new workshop aims to equip people with precarious status and those without status to prepare solid applications for permanent residence on humanitarian grounds, by responding to their specific needs and reducing the bureaucratic obstacles they encounter. In addition to the workshop sessions, participants will receive a toolkit to accompany them in the process.
The Clinic aims to empower participants by giving them the skills and knowledge to manage their own requests. By promoting the exchange of experiences between participants, the workshop creates a space for collective learning and solidarity.
Anchored in a participatory approach, each session will be divided into two.
The first part (about one hour) will be dedicated to the presentation of the CH application, trying to offer a clear understanding of the legal criteria surrounding humanitarian applications, deciphering the administrative requirements through concrete examples. The second part (about two hours) will be dedicated to supporting participants in writing and documentation, with specific support for filling out forms, writing letters and organizing the necessary evidence.
The workshop is free, held in French and offered to people wishing to submit a CH request, accompanied by a speaker or not.
